On-the go antenna setup: military-surplus gear involving a set of five-foot aluminum tubes and a triangular "centerpiece." Slip three tubes into the centerpiece to make the legs, slide another couple of tubes together, attach the antenna to the top, and slide the "big pole" into the center of the centerpiece. You can get an easy 20-25 feet this way, with little needed in the way of tools or time.
